Dave Burns is the owner and founding member of Dave Burns Law Office, LLC.
Ethics, integrity, and commitment to advocacy motivate his legal practice and style of representation. Dave has an easy going, yet effective approach in his work, and is intensely dedicated to serving as your advocate.
Mr. Burns is a current member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, and active in the business, family and immigration sections. He is a graduate of William Mitchell College of Law. While attending law school, he worked as a student attorney for LAMP, (Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoners), representing indigent inmates in a variety of civil issues. His commitment to community service continues today by regularly representing people in need through the Volunteer Lawyers Network. Mr. Burns sits on the board of directors of Listening House, an organization that provides practical assistance, counsel and a friendly ear to people who are homeless, disadvantaged or lonely. He is a member of the St. Paul Midway Chamber of Commerce and a volunteer with Allina Home Care, Hospice & Palliative Care.
Before going to Law School, Dave worked as a business management consultant. He has helped large and small companies launch new products, retool operations and leverage software and the internet to meet business goals. Through this experience, he dealt with many complex management and planning issues. Mr. Burns envisioned a law practice as a natural extension of his work with business clients, and subsequently began Dave Burns Law.
Mr. Burns helps people through many types of legal issues such as marriage dissolutions, custody matters, consumer law, new business ventures, wills and trusts. He has represented parties in various types of civil litigation from breach of contract to wrongful death to employment law matters from discrimination to retaliation.
Mr. Burns is interested in seeing his clients reach a just conclusion in the legal system, and is committed to competent and thorough representation on your behalf.
